Atmospheric Quality was established by Dr William Hicks, a scientist with an extensive background in environmental research, consulting, and community engagement. Dr Hicks holds a PhD from Imperial College London (Environmental Research Group, School of Public Health) and remains actively involved in academic and industry research. His research generated real-world emission factors for different types of vehicles which have been used to project total emissions in the UK. Dr Hicks also has a wealth of experience in the consulting sector, having undertaken numerous air quality and noise assessments to support planning applications and construction projects.
